UiTM Jengka : Made in Malaysia Book of Record


JENGKA- The students and staff of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Jengka Branch have create a 1Malaysia logo with around 370,000 cups that made ​​from used plastic drink.

The success of the 1Malaysia logo build has measures of 100 meters long and 38 meters width. This was registering the name of the campus in the Malaysia Book of Record.



According to the UiTM rector, Datuk Dr Helmi Abdul Rahman, a total of three thousand students that the campus is engaged in the construction of the logo, which took four days to complete.



Datuk Dr Helmi Abdul Rahman said the purpose of the program was carried out not merely to cast a campus in MBOR but to promote more of a ’1 Malaysia’ among students.

How to become better when you're sick


 

When you're sick you can rarely go to places, see friends or go to sports games - it's no fun at all. Nobody likes to be sick, so follow these steps to get better quickly. 







Steps 

•  Avoid eating unhealthy foods.
Unhealthy foods can make your even more sick, and they contain virtually no nutrients, so they won't help you get better. Eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies while you're sick, especially fruits that contain vitamin C.

•  Make sure you stay warm.
Make sure you stay warm. Maybe get into your long pajamas or get a soft, cuddly, warm blanket and curl up on the couch or in bed. Drink tea or other hot liquids and eat soup to help keep you warm and soothe your throat.

•  Blow your nose.
Blow your nose. All the yucky stuff normally goes up into your nose, so take a tissue and blow your nose every once in a while to open up your nasal passages again.

•   Take some medicine.
Take some medicine. Medicine can help the body when your sick, so consider taking some medicine to help you get better. If your doctor has perscribed you any specific medication, be sure to take it.

•   Lie down and get some rest.
Lie down and get some rest. You should get about 8-9 hours of rest or more when you're sick, so be sure to get a lot of sleep at night and to take a nap or two during the day, if possible.

•   Get some fresh clean air once in a while.
Get some fresh clean air once in a while. Go outside and sit on your porch for a while on a nice day to get some fresh air; it can do wonders for you. Bring a book with you and read for a bit while you experience the sunshine.

  • Don't take other people's medicine. It can make you even more sick.
  • Read the warnings on the medicine carefully.

 


How To Be Healthier in 14days


Being healthy is something almost all of us want to be, but who has the will-power? And even if you do have good will-power, what does it take exactly to be healthy?
Well if you have a good start, achieving this goal might be easier.Stick with being healthy for 14 days (2 weeks) and you just might find it easier to continue!









Steps: 
  1. If you have a printer, print out the food pyramid and if you don't then copy it out on a blank piece of paper. Try to stick to it. 
  2. Stick to it. It's easy! If it says,for example,4+ portions of fruits and vegetables a day then try to eat at least 2 portions of fruit and 2 of veg.  
  3. Eat fruit. Don't like eating fruit? Make a smoothie. Squeeze an orange and drink fresh juice. Make a fruit salad with a little bit of whipped cream on top.  
  4. Eat vegetables. Don't like eating vegetables? Drink a tomato juice.Munch on raw carrots. Make a fun, colorful salad and give it a catchy name!   
  5. Exercise!If you don't like exercise (bad hair,sweating etc.) walk around your block while listening to your iPod.Make a playlist that has about 20 songs (each song lasting about three minutes) and walk for an hour.Try to do this every day for best results.You'll soon start to like it
  6. Drink water instead of Coke! You might like to drink drinks like Coke, Sprite, Fanta, 7UP etc. but they're terrible for your health. Drink water instead. Aim for 2 litres (about 6 cups) a day!
  7. Look up tips on the internet and just stay informed! You'll be healthier in no time! Actually,in 14 days...
Tips:
  • You can have an occasional sweet but don't intake too much!
  • Ask your family doctor what you can do to be and stay healthy.
  • Try to stay healthy even after your 2 weeks have expired.
Warning:
  • Don't eat sweets!
  • No sugar drinks!
  • No alcohol or smoking!
  • Absolutely no drugs!
